Modern Slavery Policy

Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Policy

Modern slavery can occur in many forms. For the purpose of this policy, modern slavery includes any act of slavery, servitude, bonded, forced or compulsory labour, child labour, or human trafficking. These acts are carried out for personal or commercial gain and result in the abuse and exploitation of an individual’s human rights.

Primrose Education remains fully committed to the eradication of modern slavery in all its forms. As an organisation, we do not engage in, condone, or tolerate any act of modern slavery within any part of our operations or supply chain. We operate with transparency, integrity and ethical standards across all areas of our business and in our relationships with partners, suppliers and contractors.

Appropriate action will be taken in response to any suspicion or evidence of modern slavery. The processes and control measures we have in place aim to minimise the risk of modern slavery occurring within our business or supply chain.

As a minimum, we will:

I. Identify and prioritise areas within our business and supply chain where there may be a higher risk of modern slavery so that appropriate attention can be focused on those areas.

II. Communicate our commitment to preventing modern slavery to our supply chain through procurement procedures and contractor qualification processes. We will engage with suppliers to understand the steps they are taking to ensure modern slavery is not present within their own operations or supply chains.

III. Where there is suspicion or a perceived risk of modern slavery, we will implement appropriate due diligence measures to confirm, as far as reasonably possible, that such practices are not taking place.

IV. Prepare and publish a Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement on our website outlining the steps taken to prevent modern slavery within our organisation and supply chain.

V. Raise employee awareness of modern slavery through appropriate communication and guidance.

All employees, temporary workers and subcontractors working on behalf of Primrose Education are required to comply fully with this policy and its supporting procedures. Any suspected act of modern slavery identified within the workplace must be reported immediately to a line manager or company director so that appropriate investigation and action can be taken.

This policy will be reviewed annually to ensure its continued effectiveness.
